Denise Patrick,
Vice President, Pierpont Communications has provided marketing and consulting services to over 2,500 firms since
1989 and leads the marketing and creative services practice at Pierpont
Communications. The marketing team specializes in developing branding messages
and marketing materials designed to meet the unique goals of each client in
their marketplace.
The team is
responsible for Branding and Strategy, Marketing Communications, and Creative
Development and Production. Clients include: Delcor USA, Halliburton, Huntsman
Chemical, Shell Chemical Deer Park, Merrick Systems, EnerSys, Energy Ventures,
and many entrepreneurial clients, including several Ernst and Young
Entrepreneur of the Year finalists and winners. She has served as strategic
counsel to many Houston Fast 100 winners, including this year’s Enterprise
Champion, Catch the Moment.
Most recently,
Denise was honored as one of ten of the nation’s Women of Inspiration,
receiving the RAW Spirit Award. She has also been awarded a National
Certification in Entrepreneurial Education from the Center for Entrepreneurial
Leadership at the Kauffman Foundation. As one of 18 entrepreneurs originally
nominated for certification, Denise was the only entrepreneur in the US to
receive this coveted credential. Her achievements also include a Star Award
from the UH Small Business Development Center as Instructor of the Year, the
Crystal Award from the American Marketing Association for her work with Merck
Pharmaceutical’s Allergy Free Air Filters, Houston’s Entrepreneur of the Year
from the Houston Association of Women Entrepreneurs, and the Greater Houston
Partnership has recognized her work as Small Business Advocate.
She has taught
business owners the fundamentals of marketing for over fifteen years and has
appeared in many forums including Rice
University and the Center for
Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Houston.
She was also selected as the Marketing Instructor for Rice University’s
new Leadership Institute for Non-Profit Executives.
