MISSION STATEMENT:
To attract, recruit and retain volunteers through individual development and involvement which garners professional and personal growth, while becoming a stakeholder in the future of the TFPA and all its principles.
As a volunteer organization the TFPA relies on our committed volunteers that give their time and talent. Participation in one or several of our committees as a volunteer is a great way to get involved and maximize your membership – members have direct responsibility for organizing and implementing TFPA events, programs and growth strategies.
It is not too late to volunteer for the 2008-2009 Year…Here is the latest Information
Scholarship Auction:
The Auction Committee is underway with the first planning session scheduled in August. Ask anyone who was on the committee last year and they will tell you that this is the committee to serve on if you like good food and adult beverages. The group meets throughout the year planning for our largest fundraising event held each spring at our annual conference. Each year the auction committee raises the bar to another level and there is a great since of pride knowing that the money raised goes to deserving students. Volunteers are needed for selling sponsorship theme tables, shopping for auction items, clerical work, telephone calls, logistics, and the power point presentation during the auction and much more. Contact Brent Holdridge and “Coach” Fincher for more details at auction@tfpa.org
Membership:
In the past the membership committee has consisted of one of two individuals. This year one of our main goals is to increase our membership of both processors and associates. Harrell and Mel won’t turn anyone volunteers away. To increase the excitement in our membership drive we are having a contest for all of those that recruit new members into the organization. Everyone who recruits a minimum of 3 new members will have a chance to win real cash up to $2,000. Volunteers are needed for creating promotional materials about the organization, sending out mailers to prospective members, making telephone calls, updating our membership application and anything else it takes to attract new members. Contact Harrell Banks and Mel Kalka for more details at membership@tfpa.org
Exclusive Member Benefits:
This is a newly formed committee with the purpose of contacting associate and affiliate members for exclusive benefits for our members. Several of our associate members have special offers available to our members. This year the TFPA will be promoting the benefits on the website and providing links to the associate’s website for additional details. For more information contact Becky Pfundheller at becky@afltexas.com
Legislative: The legislative committee is able to represent the TFPA regarding our issues and where we stand as a group. Contact Glendy Valdez and Nick Nickelson for more details at legislative@tfpa.org
